Content of the study
In Germany, the recycling of construction waste is becoming increasingly important. In view of the ageing building stock, rising costs and the goal of climate neutrality, the use of recycled materials (RC) to reduce CO2 emissions and conserve natural resources is becoming increasingly relevant. The Building Energy Act (GEG) is promoting this trend by encouraging investment in thermal renovations and the recycling of construction waste.
Despite the potential, however, barriers to the widespread use of recycled materials remain. In this study, we examine the challenges and opportunities of construction waste recycling and explain how companies and the industry as a whole can benefit from this growing market.
