Content of the study
This study analyses the growing market for sewer and pipe rehabilitation, which is becoming increasingly important due to the need to renovate Germany's ageing sewer network. Around 31% of the approximately 600,000 km long sewer network is in need of renovation. In addition to existing demand, providers are also benefiting from stricter legal requirements, climate-related pressures and technological innovations.
The study highlights the various players in the market, from local service providers to supra-regional rehabilitation specialists, and shows how public clients influence the awarding of contracts. It also examines key value creation levers, such as a supra-regional presence, strategic project selection and efficient execution.
